Projects
The water company has a Project Management Lead who reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for oversight, scheduling, tracking, and coordinating with developers, construction companies, engineers and regulators in the execution of projects associated with the water system. The projects currently being worked or planned are:
We have been granted a loan from DEQ to fund the following projects required to address the Facility Planning Study:
1. Replace 4" asbestos-cement (transite) piping that currently exists between the 7,000 gallon water storage tank and the 4-valve distribution manifold (located near old swimming pool) with 8" C900 drinking-water approved piping. This project should be completed this summer.
2. Replace 8" water mainline between the 100,000 gallon tank and the 7,000 and 230,000 gallon tanks. Replace the sub-standard 160-psi rated 8” mainline between the two storage tanks with C900 rated 8” line, at proper depth, with insulation and bedding, pressure reduction valves and adequate isolation valves. We have applied for a loan from DEQ to complete this project.
3. Repair or replace 100,000 gallon water storage tank, Main Pump House (roof and electrical distribution.) Replace Main Well House piping and valves.
4. Cross-connect upper and lower pressure zones: Implement recommendations for cross-connecting PZ-1 and PZ-2 and parts of either system, as recommended in the modeling section of the FPS/MFP (Daybreak Drive, Lahona Drive, Panorama Drive and inside pump house.)
5. Establish a fully functional Backup Booster Pump, to backup the Main Booster Pump that supplies water to the Upper Pressure Zone.
6. Construct security systems for well/tank lots.
